The Full Story

Teefa is petite and fierce with a personality larger than life. True creativity knows no boundaries and her erupting natural talent has charted a unique blueprint to success. At the age of 19 she signed her first major recording contract with then partner Shawnna of DTP to Relativity/Sony as Infamous Syndicate. They began touring the world with artist such as Eminen, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, KRS-1, Lil Wayne and many more all of whom which made it their business to give these girls they’re props. Together they raised the performance bar for all female emcees in the world of Hip-Hop. Infamous Syndicate signed with Relativity Records, who released their lone LP, Changing the Game. The album peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 18 on the Heatseekers Albums chart on the strength of the single "Here I Go", which reached No. 63 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No.8 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Teefa has passionately studied music and worked alongside the best of the best such as Kanye West, Common, No ID, DJ Terry Hunter, Syleena Johnson and more.  Known for her writing skills, storytelling, powerful voice, and excellent ability to relate and inspire people. Teefa makes a total stranger feel like her best friend. Teefa curated the #1 Hip Hop mix shows on Chicago radio at WGCI and Power 92. Breaking new artists, new music, DJ’s and on-air talent. She recently appeared in the Jeenyuhs Documentary on Netflix interviewing Kanye West. 

Teefa is a authentic tastemaker and influencer of the culture.  She has proven to be the hottest Hip-Hop female artist / media personality / educator from Chicago. She has released Msteefa.com, Soul F’n What and Teefa presents “Da Plant” mixtape, as well as her album entitled G.A.W, Grown Ass Woman. Shining on radio hits such as “Jangalang, Martini, Droked Out, Do It Like My Birthday” and Swing on Em’. Teefa has spent the last few years as a creative educator with Chicago Public Schools and teaching mobile film making to teens in Chicago through collaboration with Apple.

Manifesting new experiences through art and music. In 2022 she dropped four new installments including Standby and God Complex and she prepares “The Making” for release in 2023.
